Student Resources

Interested in Urban Planning and a Student?

You’ve made it to the right place! This page includes information regarding resources for students just like you who are interested in urban planning as a profession and want to learn more about how to get into the field. Below are a few buttons that will give you access to different resources that APA ID offers.

The first button on the left includes a blog page and interviews. These interviews and the blog posts will begin to be published soon; as of the launch of this page, there are no entries yet; however, this will be a good section to come back to as it will feature students, planners from around the state, and faculty from the University of Idaho and Boise State discussing the planning profession.

The second button in the middle will take you to the APA Idaho YouTube page, which has a range of videos currently published that are not only educational but provide insights into what planners throughout the state are working on every day.

The student projects button will be an ongoing venture that will include highlights of various planning-related projects from students around Idaho.

Lastly, the APA ID Event Schedule button allows you to be taken directly to our event calendar. This can be navigated to from the main page; however, we want you to have easy access to it from here as well. Be sure to look for events that pique your interest, as many of them are open to students and provide great networking opportunities.

This page is meant to be an everchanging and evolving piece, and as students, this should be a place where you are able to learn about some of your most pressing questions and concerns as you navigate how to make it into this profession. We hope this page allows for more student representation, and we are glad to have you here!
